Wonderland for Kids!

Our visit to Bethesda and the Children's Inn this weekend blew us away! As you approach the lodge-like Inn a sense of relaxation and calm takes over. Inside, the bright open space pulls you in and you immediately feel at home. There are rooms filled with activities throughout the Inn to occupy kids of all ages. Words just can't describe this incredible place! Although the kids (and their families) are dealing with serious illnesses and undergoing cutting-edge medical procedures, The Children's Inn is a comforting and fun refuge after a long day at the National Institutes of Health. We're so honored to have the opportunity to work with these amazing kids on the development of our tee shirts! Hopefully, we will expand quickly and be able to contribute significantly to this "place like home".

Almost There!

Now that the site is weeks away from being functional we thought it would be a good idea to give a recap of the "story" behind Colin Maguire.

The designs found on Colin Maguire tees were created by kids residing at The Children’s Inn at NIH. The National Institutes of Health provides the latest treatment options for seriously ill children. The Inn at NIH offers a place like home for these brave children and their families. Colin Maguire’s partnership with The Inn at NIH supports the Inn financially, but it also helps to share the spirit of these special children and their loved ones with children across the country.

The shirts are 100% super-soft cotton with contrast stitching and distressed hemlines. They are currently available in sizes 18-24 mos, 2T, 3T, 4T and 5T. Long-sleeve “layered” tees are available for fall and many short-sleeve styles are on the way. New artwork is submitted regularly allowing for the launch of a new tee shirt every month! All come with unique “About the Artist” hangtags.

2nd Drawing and Artist Revealed

Sara came to the NIH from Iraq to receive specialized care. She chose to draw this eagle because it reminds her of America, where she now resides. Her goals are to attend college and become a professional artist. We think she certainly has the talent to do just that!

The shirt should be ready in the next few weeks!
